Anna Erickson, Ph.D., is an Industrial–Organizational Psychologist with more than 15 years experience in building effective organizations through people.   Dr. Erickson leads the Organizational Insights Consulting team at Questar – a global consulting firm specializing in employee, leadership, and customer feedback.  With expertise in employee engagement, employee retention, and leadership development, Dr. Erickson and her team work closely with clients to provide full service consulting support for employee surveys and 360-feedback programs.  Clients include organizations such as 3M, ABC News, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CARE, US Army, Southern Company, Target Corporation and Time Warner. 

 

Dr. Erickson has successfully worked with domestic and international clients as an internal and external consultant, conducting research and implementing solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.  Her professional experience includes work inside Fortune 500 companies including SBC Communications (now AT&T) and Best Buy Companies.  Dr. Erickson also worked as a consultant for Personnel Decisions International, where she provided consulting services to executive leadership of client organizations across many industries. 

 

Dr. Erickson holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University; and a Bachelors Degree with majors in Psychology and Business Administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  She has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in psychometrics, consumer psychology, and employee development.  She has held committee and leadership positions in a number of professional organizations including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Minnesota Professionals for Psychology Applied to Work, and Texas Industrial and Organizational Psychologists.  She is a frequent presenter at professional conferences on the topics of talent management and employee engagement. 

 

Dr. Erickson has been involved for several years with the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award program, which is designed to recognize organizations that make a commitment to programs and policies that foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance. Since 2005, Dr. Erickson has served on the board that evaluates candidates for the Minnesota’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award.  She also serves at the National Level as the SIOP representative to the American Psychological Association’s Business of Practice Network, the sponsor of the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program at the national level.
